Schedule

• Friday 7a-Monday 7a; every weekend
• Will look at a minimum of 2 weekends a month

Clinical Details

• Taking call for the ED every weekend
• Practice Setting: Hospital; Level II
• Avg. Daily Census: 0-3
• Patient Age Group: adults
• Seeing trauma patients that may come in the ED over the weekend
• Reductions, splinting/casting, and any indicated operative procedures, pelvic and/or acetabulum fractures is not expected but provisional stabilization with skeletal traction, external fixation, and/or application of pelvic binders is in scope
• There are no outpatient clinic responsibilities

Requirements

• Must have experience with the evaluation and treatment of the most common, bread-and-butter musculoskeletal conditions resulting in inpatient consultation
• Board Certifications Orthopedic
• Ortho trauma fellowship - Preferred
• Active NC License
• DEA
• Open to new grads
• Covid vaccine (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only)
• Charting Experience: Epic

Support Staff

• Provide guidance and oversight of orthopedic trauma APPs who assist with the Orthopedic Trauma Service and who serve as "first call" for the service
