  • Other Details: The facility, which is stroke-certified, and trauma level 4, is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours and beeper calls if needed. Needing coverage 7-10 days per month starting in March 2025. They have single-provider coverage of the emergency room and hospital patients for their tiny critical access hospital. There is only one physician on at a time for 12-hour shifts (8a-8p or 8p-8a, depending on needs) and also for a backup call for 12 hours (before a day shift and after a night shift) so that they can be called back in for certain traumas or if multiple traumas or critical patients when a second physician may be needed. Call back is infrequent. There is no outpatient clinic associated with the role, it is hospital and emergency department only. There's an average of 8 patients per shift and 6 beds in the department.
