Job Description: We are seeking a Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine OR Family Medicine / Internal Medicine Physician with at least one year of Emergency Medicine experience to provide solo Emergency Room coverage. This is a temporary position covering multiple 12-hour shifts, as outlined below.

- Wednesday, December 18, 2024 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Thursday, December 19, 2024 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Friday, December 20, 2024 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM & 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Saturday, December 21, 2024 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM & 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Sunday, December 22, 2024 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM & 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Thursday, December 26, 2024 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Sunday, December 29, 2024 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Provide solo Emergency Room coverage during 12-hour shifts.
- Manage a daily patient volume of 90-100 patients.
- Physicians typically see 18-20 patients per 12-hour shift.
- Work alongside 2 mid-level providers (Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners).
- Deliver care in a facility with an open ICU and an annual patient volume of 32,000.
Requirements:
- Must be Family Medicine or Internal Medicine trained with at least one year of Emergency Medicine experience.
- Must be credentialed with North Carolina Medicaid and enrolled in PECOS.
- Proficiency in using Meditech 6.1 EMR.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive pay with travel costs capped at $500.
