Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Litigation Manager to oversee and manage the organization's litigation portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex legal cases, coordinating with staff members, and ensuring effective procedures are in place to mitigate risks. As a key member of the legal team, the Litigation Manager will play a critical role in driving the success of our litigation matters while contributing to the overall legal strategy of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Litigation Management : Oversee the lifecycle of all litigation matters, including pre-litigation strategy, case development, discovery, settlement negotiations, trial preparation, and post-trial motions.
- Strategic Oversight : Develop and execute litigation strategies that align with business objectives. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess risks and make informed decisions on legal actions.
- Case Monitoring : Track case progress, provide regular updates to senior management, and ensure that deadlines, court requirements, and legal filings are met.
- Team Leadership : Supervise and mentor junior legal staff, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring high standards of legal work.
- Document Management : Oversee the management of case files, ensuring all legal documents are organized, maintained, and easily accessible for review.
Qualifications:
Education : Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Experience :
- 5+ years of experience in litigation, with a proven track record of managing complex cases.
Skills :
- Strong understanding of litigation processes, court rules, and legal procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and provide practical, business-oriented advice.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in legal research, case management software, and document review platforms.
