RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS: Truck LoadingWeigh trucks in and out of plantTrack weight information from scale to computer systemEnsure accurate data is entered into computer systemAbility to accurately load bulk trucks with minimal overloads and reloadsAbility to identify correct material productsEnsures correct product and weight is loaded onto trucks.Inspects trucks in compliance of Safe Feed Safe Food (SFSF) and Quality systemsTakes quality samples of loads to ensure customer quality assurance.Customer ServiceGreet and direct truck drivers upon exit of the scale house.Data entry and answer phones as needed.Assist site leaders with assigned tasks.SafetyEnsure that truck drivers conduct business in a safe manner.Provide general upkeep of the scale house.Report any operational or safety problems to management.Perform daily work place exams (WPE) including fall protection equipment, loading equipment, and all of shipping work space to MSHA standardGeneral DutiesEfficiently operate JWS, Transwide, and BOL interface with ability to add and void ticketsUnderstand & shadow Customer Service (CSR) reviewing and posting daily tickets (recommend 40 hrs/year)Notify office when low inventory of shipping supplies (Paper, Toner, Labels, Forms)Ability to safely reset shipping area breakersBegin learning the plant production process flow by cross training (recommend 40 hrs/year)Illustrate a quality competence on testing procedures and customer requirements (recommend 40 hrs/year in lab)Ability to operate equipment- Dump Truck, Skid Steer, 972 Loader, Water Truck, scissor lift and manliftAbility to repair chutes and pulleys in the shipping areaConsistently inputs SAP Maintenance NotificationsAbility to safely "unplug" a siloTakes ownership in shipping area with housekeeping excellence including vegetation clean upConsistently achieves high completion of daily task listATTRIBUTES: Manufacturing background.Demonstrate strong customer service skills. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations is required. Must be able to work shift work, seven days a week including holidays and be flexible to schedule changes, including overtime.Effectively communicate and interact with supervisors, managers, and peers.Multi-tasking skills with the ability to operate a computer.Knowledge of MSHA rules as they relate to the position.All personnel will be responsible for the facilities' Safe Food initiative based on FSMA and Current Good Manufacturing Practices.PHYSICAL DEMANDS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Tolerate working outside in severe weather conditions as well as exposure to industrial high temperature, noise and dust.Access all areas within a site which could include heights of 80 feet, confined spaces, frequent climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnels.Ability to lift 50 poundsOutdoors.
