Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the general operations of mail delivery between branches, customers, and post office. Handles all incoming and outgoing mail. Makes daily pick-ups and deliveries of mail between branches and post office. Frequently required to perform other routine tasks as requested by management. Conducts relationships and activities consistent with established Bank policies, procedures and systems, the corporate code of conduct, Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Sort and organize incoming and outgoing mail deliveries.
  • Responsible for the timely delivery of mail between departments and branches.
  • Will be required to pick up deposits from various customers.
  • Conducts regular stops, deliveries and picks up different types of documents and other items as needed.
  • Prepare special shipments and deliveries as necessary.
  • Maintains records and information on postal regulations as they affect the bank's mailing and postage equipment.
  • Maintain neat and orderly work area and ensure that all cash, negotiables, and confidential records are secured and/or disposed of properly.
  • Consistently demonstrate proficiency in providing exemplary customer service in person and by telephone as defined by our livingLegendary standards.
  • Arrange daily work plans to handle workflow and bank processing requirements, provide customer service and meet bank record keeping requirements.
  • Acquire and maintain thorough understanding of security procedures; practice established procedures. Understand role in case of robbery and know proper post-robbery procedures.
  • Acquire and maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of compliance and regulatory issues relating to customer service areas (i.e., Bank Secrecy Act, Regulations CC, E, DD, P, etc.) evidenced by appropriate application of these regulations in day-to-day operations.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Attend all required training.
  • Assist others in the department/facility as needed and/or directed.
  • May be assigned other duties and responsibilities.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving background is required.
  • Basic math skills required. PC and typing skills required.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Must possess good judgment skills and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer relations skills and ability to communicate and work well with employees and customers in a cooperative, positive manner.
  • Willingness to assume additional responsibilities/duties/projects as they arise.
