Summary
CHS, Inc. is seeking a Production Planner for our lubricants division in Inver Grove Heights, MN. In this role, you will coordinate materials, workforce, and production lines to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders for our lubricants plants in Inver Grove Heights. You will also monitor and advise production personnel in Amarillo, TX and Kenton, OH, ensuring productivity and quality goals are met.
This role will be onsite at the at the Inver Grove Heights, MN facility.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain master production schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet completion dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders. Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.
- Analyzes production specifications and capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine production processes, tools and production worker requirements. Prepares production reports.
- Plans and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established production sequences and lead times. Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects. Expedites operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
- Manages plant inventory status to assure inventory levels are maintained within guidelines. Oversees cycle counts and reports financial status to accounting. Research inventory issues. Conduct annual reviews on inventories, codes, BOMs, and line capacity updates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- High School diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in supply chain and/or inventory management
Additional Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in supply chain management or related discipline.
- 5-10 years’ experience in supply chain and/or inventory management function.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Desired experience with JDE, SAP, MRP, MPS, and Power BI.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel.
