Job Description
University of Maryland Joseph Medical Center (UM-SJMC), a member hospital of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), has an immediate opening for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their inpatient Spine Surgery team of 3 surgeons and 6 APPs. This position manages patients pre-and post-spine surgery both in the office, peri-operatively in the hospital, including first-assisting in the OR.
- M-F (office hours, First Assisting in OR), night and weekend call
- 1-2 years of Spine surgery care experience highly preferred
- NPs must have Acute Care certification & RNFA
- Will consider new graduates

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- For NPs, Master of Science degree with completion of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program required. For PAs, Master's degree Physician Assistant required.
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required. NPs must hold Acute Care NP certification
- Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care is required.
