Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that products and processes within the aerospace manufacturing facility adhere to high-quality standards. This role involves performing inspections, conducting tests, identifying defects, onboarding new product and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Technician will collaborate closely with engineering, production, and other departments to maintain compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
Hourly wage range: $28.67 - $34.40 - $40.13
Key Responsibilities:
- Use a variety of precision measurement tools to perform in-process and final inspections of aerospace components, assemblies, and materials to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Ensure proper documentation is maintained per company procedures.
- Identify and document non-conformance issues, collaborate with engineering and production teams to analyze root causes, and assist in corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) process.
- Conduct internal audits of manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to quality management systems (QMS) such as AS9100 or ISO 9001. Ensure all processes comply with aerospace industry regulations and standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, recommending process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Support incoming material inspections.
- Ensure calibration of measurement and testing equipment is being performed and that all tools are in proper working condition.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineers, production staff, and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues and improve product quality.
- Support customer source inspection.
- Create Balloon Drawings and inspection plans.
- Make suggestions regarding procedures, standards and equipment to facilitate work and maintain product quality.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate's degree in a technical discipline.
- Minimum of five years of experience in manufacturing environment.
- Experience developing manufacturing inspection plans.
- Experience creating balloon drawings.
- Experience with GD&T.
- Experience conducting process capability, GR&R, PFMEA and SPC studies.
- Experience optimizing processes to achieve ongoing cost reductions.
- Experience working in an ISO environment, preferably AS9100, and conducting internal audits.
- Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

- Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards
