Job Summary:
The Dispatcher position is based at the Leonard (Insert Plant Location) Plant, with operations in the U.S. and has overall responsibility for coordinating and managing the scheduling and dispatching of delivery drivers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of shed buildings and truck accessories to customers. This position reports directly to the Delivery Manager and does not have direct reports.
Job Responsibilities:
- Creates and manages delivery schedules, ensuring efficient routes and timely deliveries. Dispatches drivers according to schedules, customer needs, and priority levels.
- Maintains clear and effective communication with drivers, providing instructions, updates, and support throughout their routes. Communicates with customers to provide delivery status updates and address any concerns or issues.
- Coordinates with the warehouse and production teams to ensure products are ready for delivery on schedule. Monitors inventory levels and communicate any discrepancies or shortages to the appropriate personnel.
- Analyzes delivery routes to optimize efficiency and minimize fuel consumption and travel time. Adjusts routes as necessary to accommodate changes in traffic, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Addresses and resolves any issues that arise during the delivery process, including delays, accidents, and customer complaints. Implements corrective actions to prevent recurrence and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of delivery schedules, driver logs, and customer interactions. Prepares and submit reports on delivery performance, including key metrics such as on-time delivery rates and fuel usage.
- Ensures all drivers comply with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements, including hours of service and vehicle maintenance standards. Conducts regular safety briefings and training sessions for drivers.
- Utilizes dispatching software and GPS tracking systems to monitor and manage deliveries in real-time. Stays informed about new technologies and tools that can improve dispatching efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provides exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally. Works to build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Collaborates with other departments, including sales, warehouse, and production, to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction. Participates in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Education/Experience Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics, transportation, or related fields are a plus.
- Experience in dispatching, logistics, or transportation management.
