Job Purpose: To oversee site shipping, receiving and inventory through item & purchase order maintenance,
procurement of inventory, and managing & handling shipping and receiving of site materials
Duties and Responsibilities: - Manage all site inventory by maintaining adequate stock levels, accurate inventory tracking &
- documentation, and accurate shipping, purchase, and pricing records
- Conduct inventory reconciliation
- Analyze, document, investigate and report inventory discrepancies, report damaged or unusable
- inventory and identify reasons for variance
- Drive efficiencies and continuous improvement within shipping, receiving & the inventory
- management system
- Vendor Management to Include:
- Develop action and remediation plans with vendors to address backorders, order issues or
- vendor performance concerns
- Track vendor performance
- Work with the Quality Assurance department to maintain and update supplier information
- such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc. and operate within the
- requirements of the Approved Supplier Program
- Place orders to maintain inventory stocks and ensure all costs are accurate and accounted for
- Research and evaluate prospective vendors
- Review, compare, analyze, and approve products and services to be purchased
- Place purchase orders from vendors to balance projected needs with special buy opportunities
- Partner with the business office to resolve system and/or invoice cost discrepancies and
- determine appropriate corrective action with vendor to resolve
- Return defective merchandise and ensure proper and timely credit is received from vendors
- Complete shipping documentation and prepare packages for shipment
- Receive in and inspect incoming samples & materials and place them in their designated areas
- Inform and train Log10 personnel regarding shipping, receiving and inventory control methods
- and procedures
- Create and maintain all documentation (SOP's, WKI's, and forms) related to shipping, receiving
- and inventory management
- Member of the Log10 Food Safety Team supporting the Food Safety Plan, Good Manufacturing
- Practices (GMP), International Standards Organization (ISO) requirements, Safe Quality Food
- (SQF) requirements and the food safety and quality program
- Other Duties as Required
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
- Education
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred
- Specialized Knowledge
