The Construction Clerk is based in Jamesville, NY and reports directly to the Sr. Construction Manager.HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO Provide administrative support for Construction Management and Field Supervisors.Coordinate with construction crews to ensure PPE is available to all employees.Track equipment utilizationCode and process vendor invoices.Complete payroll & timesheets for up to 10 employees weekly.Cross Train for the many duties of the Construction Administration Office.Coordinate with the shop mechanics to complete preventative maintenance orders, assist with parts orders, and purchase orders.Learn and put into practice safe working practices and compliance with all policies and regulations; as well as identify and assist in correcting unsafe conditionsHERE'S WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORIntermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelKnowledge of JDE business system is a plusHigh school diploma or equivalent required; 2 yr. degree preferredKnowledge of NYS construction prevailing wage system and NYS DOL construction criteria.Solid organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to multi-task and flexibility to adapt to changing business situationsStrong communication skills, both oral and writtenWork Environment Role operates primarily a professional office environment, but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels.
