Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) Status/FTE: FT / 1.0 FTE Shift length: 10 hours Start Time: 0700 or 0830 Unit: Heart & Vascular Cath Lab Unit Specific Additional Qualifications: Ability to work in fast-paced environment requiring strong clinical and assessment skills required. Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Four (4) 10-hour shift a week with rotating on-call. Unit Specific Additional Qualifications: Ability to work in fast-paced environment requiring strong clinical and assessment skills required. Required qualifications: Current state RN license Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire ACLS upon hire Two (2) or more years of Cath Lab experience required Preferred qualifications: BSN Preferred Four (4) years of Cath Lab, Cardiovascular, Critical Care or Emergency nursing experience Additional Information/Department information: The RN coordinates all patient care activities in the Heart Center Cath Lab. The nursing process is used in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of cardiology patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to Cardiology patients in the clinical setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, mentor and positive role model for assistive personnel. Knowledge of cardiovascular clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions and pharmacological agents is essential. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment requiring strong cardiovascular clinical and assessment skills.
