What You Will Do:
The responsibilities of this role include leading activities for North America Procurement, as well as providing oversight and governance globally by working closely with global colleagues in the multiple regions to assure alignment to a global business systems strategy. This is an excellent role for someone looking for experience working globally, leading projects, managing direct reports, and working on business/IT systems. Knowledge and experience with procurement systems is required.
Systems
Leads operational activities and/or supports projects and all related business systems interactions and systems activities within the scope of the position. This includes, but is not limited to:
SAP
GEP (MyBuy)
Taulia
Internal (InsideEcolab) and External sites (Ecolab.com)
Others as implemented
Ownership for interactions between procurement related systems and other functional/business systems and Ecolab IT
Identify and resolve process definitions across multiple stakeholders
Oversees the development of procedures and controls to ensure reliable operation of systems
Project Management
Leads a portfolio of projects across the entire organization (some directly managed, some managed by others) focused on improving cost, quality, efficiency or service
Act as procurement expert on cross-functional systems projects.
Partner with project stakeholders to validate requirements and ensure they meet commercial and internal standards.
Work across organizational boundaries and influence others to achieve project goals
Supports Global SAP and other projects as needed
Identifies and sponsors process improvements or risk mitigation
Team Leadership
Provides direct supervision, guidance, coaching and development to the systems team members
Leverages technical and management skills to achieve through others and manages projects/portfolio to meet business needs
Develop key organizational metrics and sustainable reporting processes
Coach and mentor up, across, and down to develop others
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
5 years of experience in master data, procurement, shared services, finance, or source to pay systems
5 years’ experience in a management or team leadership role
Experience with managing and delivering multiple projects, tasks, and initiatives simultaneously
Proven leadership, project management, problem-solving and team development skills

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in management, Business, Finance, or Supply
Prior experience in Procurement, IT, or Finance
Ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organization, in both written and verbal (presentation) areas
Demonstrated success initiating change and process improvement
Demonstrated process improvement skills - Green Belt trained, or commitment to complete Green Belt training while in role
Demonstrated history of leadership, teamwork, and project management skills
Experience in SAP or other ERP systems in a procurement or shared services environment
Strong analytical aptitude and organizational skills, high attention to detail and the ability to work independently
Overall business acumen and ability to deal with ambiguity
Strong business case analytics and ability to build “the story”
Strong written and verbal communication with ability to interact with the highest levels of management
Results-oriented, proactive, and possesses a high level of integrity
Excellent project management skills
Networking skills with the ability to build and maintain business relationships globally
Spreadsheet, database, financial systems and ad hoc reporting skills
Results oriented, proactive and self-motivated with both detail and process orientation
