Job Description Within the Vehicle Motion Division (VM), we design and develop state-of-the art safety and motion solutions for passenger cars, light trucks, and up to medium heavy trucks. Vehicle Motion provides solutions for mobility through steering, braking, occupant safety, and vehicle dynamic sensors. Vehicle Motion is also a leader in the software and services that will support the future of Software Defined Vehicles.
In the Executive Fast Track Program (EFTP), you will spend approximately 12 months in various positions in Vehicle Motion North America (VM-NA) and abroad to experience the full range of technically complex products and processes. This leadership role will focus on Logistics Planning & Fulfillment with overall responsibility for Service level and Inventories for defined product categories, as well as to identifying and leading projects to significantly improve VM-NA’s S&OP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) processes by driving improvement in forecast accuracy and inventory planning across our regional business units for US and Mexico. The projects are transformational in nature, which requires strategic thinking, effective problem structuring, and an ability to influence diverse functional teams. The Logistic Planning EFTP role will rotate through experiences within the VM-NA Logistics Planning organization and logistics corporate functions. These rotations will provide experience in the following areas.
- Direct the strategic and tactical activities of Scheduling, Planning, Forecasting and Supply Management Analytics processes, conducted in SAP APO system to ensure adequate supply and on-time delivery.
- Manage a multi-location network using an SAP planning system and applying Supply Chain Management principles to comprehend all factors that can influence and affect Supply Chain performance.
- Interact and coordinate with internal and external Sources, Business Unit, Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Financial Areas, Distribution Centers, and Systems.
- Formulateand utilize methods and digitalization systems solutions for enhancing operational efficiencies, and control over supply and inventories.
- Control, monitor and evaluate the materials process using key performance indicators to drive improvements.
- Establish rigorous internal performance management system, including team and individual-level targets, scorecards and tracking.
- Encourages and facilitates the learning and development of others in both direct and indirect reporting structures. Demonstrates enhancement of individual and team potential through giving clear direction, guidance and feedback on performance
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or comparable technical degree
- 7+ years e.g. in the mobility industry, preferably within an international setting and of increasing logistics responsibility
- You have experience leading and implementing digital solutions
- You have the ability to move to different locations within the US, Mexico and Germany for 3-6 month rotations over the next 12-18 months
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree
- Related experience in the automotive industry
- Experience leading direct reports
