Role Summary:
In this critical role the Equipment Engineer will work together with the Process Engineers, Yield/Integration Engineers, and Equipment Technicians to optimize and maintain production lines, and support safety, efficiency, and quality goals set by the company by way of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Engages and works closely with manufacturing supervisor, process, and equipment technicians to resolve daily line issues and line sustaining.
- Provides first level engineering support for equipment issues and involves in engineering project such as cost reduction, OEE improvement, Second Sourcing, Yield and reliability improvement and new line/equipment startup.
- Review equipment’s data log, errors & SPC to ensure equipment are always in control and develop necessary Preventive Maintenance (PM) Procedures, OCAPs, PM Standard Work Instruction (SWI) and PM Check List
- Provides Equipment and PM technicians capability improvement and plans for training program.
- Perform root cause failure analysis for failed parts and use materials/fabrication knowledge to design improvements.
- Identify critical machine components and analyze critical design features (Critical Note Tree) to ensure reliability in the final operating environment.
- To drive improvement projects to reduce repair and maintenance costs.
- To comply with the standards, norms, and regulations regarding the quality of the environment, health and safety, and manufacturing.
- Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the tool performance.
- Complies at all times with the Environment, Health and Safety and Quality standards, rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree or Master's Degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Semiconductor, or related field.
- 3+ years of related experience in Solar, Semiconductor, LED, or automobile industry.
- Basic understanding of problem-solving tools (FMEA, 5 Whys, 8D and etc, systematic approach with quality mindset.
- Strong proficiency in related software including AutoCAD and MS Office applications, and project management tools.
- Good team player with good communication and negotiation skills.
