Working with a large food/beverage manufacturer in the Lee, FL area seeking a Production Supervisor over their night shift operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading teams, optimizing production processes, and ensuring quality standards are met. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 12 hour rotating night shift schedule (5p-5a).
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Oversee and manage a team of production associates, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Motivate and inspire the team to achieve production goals and maintain high morale.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Production Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop and implement efficient production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization.
- Monitor production progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate production activities and resolve issues.
- Quality Assurance:
- Enforce strict quality control standards and procedures.
- Conduct regular quality inspections to identify and address any defects or deviations.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent quality issues from recurring.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to streamline operations.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for optimization.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Prioritize safety by enforcing safety regulations and conducting regular safety training.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Investigate and report any accidents or near-miss incidents.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Work with maintenance technicians to schedule and execute preventive maintenance tasks.
- Problem-Solving:
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly and effectively.
- Analyze root causes of problems and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
