I am currently recruiting for one of my clients, a chemical industry company located in Laval, for a Plant Engineer - Permanent position, 40 hours/week - Day shift.
Your Role
Reporting to the Operations Director, your responsibilities include:
Participating in the installation, maintenance, and optimization of production equipment.
Diagnosing and resolving technical issues in mechanical or electrical systems.
Designing and implementing continuous improvement plans for manufacturing processes.
Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards in the chemical industry.
Supervising technical projects related to equipment modernization.
Training staff on new procedures or equipment.
Monitoring equipment performance and proposing innovative solutions.
Other related tasks as required by the position.
Your Skills
Technical expertise in your field.
Detail-oriented, autonomous, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Team spirit and leadership capabilities.
Your Profile
Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Bachelor's strongly preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the chemical industry.
Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
Fluent in French; functional English is an asset.

Salary and Benefits
Salary range: $100,000 to $110,000 annual gross, depending on experience.
