Mass General Brigham is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) OR - Operating Room for a nursing job in Chelsea, Massachusetts. To qualify you must have: • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts. Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required. • Minimum 3 years of current nursing experience caring for a urology focused patient population required. • Clinical nursing experience in an ambulatory urology setting with telephone triage and telephone-based clinical assessment required. • Medical/Surgical nursing experience strongly preferred. The Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing nursing support and care to patients in the BWH Division of Urology: TRIAGE DESK: Monitoring and responding to incoming messages and patient phone calls. Possible option for remote triage work. 1. A ccountable for responding to EPIC in-basket messages, provider concerns, reporting test results, and phone triage as clinically indicated. A standard communication framework such as SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, and Recommendation) should be used to ensure accurate and essential information is transferred as it relates to the patient’s plan of care. 2. E scalating messages when clinically required. 3. C ollaborating with clinical staff including, Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Administration. 4. P erforming all other duties as required or assigned within the scope of the position and according to the needs of the clinic. 5. W orking collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment. CLINICAL CARE: Providing direct patient care in Ambulatory clinic setting under the guidance of a LI P. 0. A ccountable for direct patient care including but not limited to: post operative assessments/ care, tube care, urgent appointments, patient education, providing pre procedure medications and assessments. 1.
