Job Description :
The Pediatric Emergency Department Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and staff of the department. This includes ensuring adherence to standards of care, managing resources, and promoting a positive patient experience. The Manager will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, implement evidence-based practices, and maintain a culture of accountability and transparency.
Required Skills :
- Minimum of 3-5 years of pediatric ED experience in a healthcare setting.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role in an acute care setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse or active Compact license in the state of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (required within 90 days of hire).
Preferred Skills :
- Master's degree in Nursing.
- Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration.
- Knowledge of performance improvement methodologies.
