Primary Duties and Responsibilities - Interaction with United States Bakery Customers (ie. Buyers & Brokers), vendors, and internal US Bakery Production, Shipping, and Sales departments.
- Solving Customer demands within business constraints.
- Evaluate production schedules/inventory/critical due dates to ensure order fulfillment.
- Arrange for transportation/freezer/bake schedules- communicating with Production and Shipping to ensure orders are tracked and accounted for
- Confirm shipments in and out of freezer locations and production locations.
- Confirm and process orders for customers.
- Ensure correct pricing for all items on order and in the computer system.
- Invoicing shipped orders- familiarity with company systems and vendor systems.
- Generating reports for internal and external customers
- Ability to work with and analyze customer's computer systems and their reports (i.e. Freezer reports, trucking reports, ordering systems)
Preferred Education/Experience - High School graduate or equivalent. College level education and or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Critical Skills and Expertise - Must have advanced knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, Intermediate Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Navision, and Other Windows based programs.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have high attention to detail.
- Skill in using 10 key adding machines by touch.
- Skill to type 60 words per minute.
- Ability to record input (data entry) information accurately.
- Ability to analyze data input & provide solutions for potential issues.
- Skill & consistency in making arithmetic calculations.
- Oral and written skills to convey ideas, facts, and information effectively and accurately.
- Skill in proofreading data to ensure accuracy.
- Ability to lift, pull, push, carry objects, or reports up to approximately 20 pounds and/or occasionally lift about 30 pounds.
- Knowledge of department, procedures, and practices with the ability to answer work-related questions or aid co-workers and customers in a timely and courteous manner.
- Ability to perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, philosophies, and standards with minimal supervision.
- Ability to fulfill requests or otherwise provide services, accurate information, or assistance in a courteous and timely manner.
- Ability to shift quickly between several tasks without loss of continuity.
- Ability to complete work that is precise and includes few or no errors.
- Ability to identify and use potential sources of data.
- Ability to make rapid, accurate scanning movements with the eyes.
- Ability to listen actively and demonstrate understanding, as well as follow written instructions.
- Ability to demonstrate safe work habits and safe use of equipment.
- Ability to perform all the essential functions of this job.
