The HR Coordinator is self-motivated, actively engaged with people and demonstrates care, respect and passion for restaurant employees, managers and guests. This candidate provides supervision, audit, innovation and HR support across all of the organization's restaurants. The HR Coordinator will be expected to partner and execute the work a long side the General Manager, Area Supervisor, Operations Manager and members of leadership. The individual executes at a high level to build a high performing team culture. The candidate should have strong communication skills, and the ability to liaise with peers and leadership to carry out a full range of duties and responsibilities. Principal accountabilities will vary depending on the needs of the restaurant(s) and organization. The HR Coordinator reports to the Director of Human Resources.

Work Environment
The working environment will consist of both office and restaurant settings in Ventura County and North San Fernando Valley. Hours of work could include evenings and weekends. Travel may be required to attend local workshops or development opportunities.
Human Resources
•Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment/compensation laws and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
•Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
•Conducts restaurant audits to ensure compliance with laws and company employee practices
•Anticipates, identifies, and assists in the investigation and resolution of crisis management situations
•Support the restaurants as required through audit, analysis and coaching
•Manages cost containment/incentive programs (WOTC, Worker's Compensation, Unemployment, etc.) to ensure these programs optimize profitability
•Contribute to the development and implementation of the organization or a restaurant specific HR plan that supports the growth and evolution of the business
•Stay current on best practices and trends related to human resources
•Implement current best practices and trends into work assignments
•Consult with restaurant leadership in the area of change management to achieve the organization's human resource strategies and business goals
•Counsels and advises key customers regarding HR programs and processes
Workforce Planning, Staffing and Talent Management
•Partners with leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
•Partners with Operations to conduct quarterly staffing analysis to ensure organization effectiveness
•Connect with local hiring agencies and host local hiring events to build strong relationships in the community
•Support restaurant management teams with staffing needs using internal application tracking system
•Supports Operations in conducting Listening Surveys and developing effective action plans
•Manages talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring
Sills & Abilities
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Fluent in English and Spanish
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office
•Capable of addressing conflicts promptly and effectively to maintain a positive work environment
•Ability to work in high-pressure, fast paced environments while still maintaining a high level of accuracy and not losing momentum
•Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
•Dedicated self-starter who takes initiative on appropriate tasks
•Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
•Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field or 2 years minimum of Human Resources experience
