Job Description

As an Inventory Control Associate will conduct all daily functions related to driving inventory accuracy; including, but not limited to, daily cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, inventory management processes, transactional duties in receiving, put away, picking, and auditing, and analysis of inventory discrepancies.
Primary Duties :

  • Maintain accurate inventory by performing daily cycle counts on products in the warehouse, monitor the performance and effectiveness of cycle counting, and report findings to management.
  • Investigate reasons for inventory discrepancies, develop strategies to prevent future discrepancies, and verify and correct any discrepancies, as necessary.
  • Review customer returns and ensure these returns are processed in accordance with company operating procedures.
  • Work with the purchasing department to manage the returns to vendor process and assist in the coordination of the return or disposal of obsolete and slow moving products.
  • Conduct product line/shelving reorganization and ensure accuracy of bin locations in the warehouse. Train and monitor warehouse personnel to do the same.
  • Sort products by verifying correct serial number and ensuring zero defects.
  • Verify, format, and print the return to vendor reports.
Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
  • Ability to utilize, or learn to use, all necessary industrial equipment.
  • Apply strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to use strong attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to be reliable, open to change, and adaptable.
  • Intermediate PC skills, including Microsoft Office programs, with the ability to learn new programs as needed.
  • Ability to work early morning or evening hours regularly.
  • Ability to work weekends on an occasional basis.

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to and comfort with working at heights of up to 28 ft. using powered equipment.
  • Often standing, walking, bending, reaching, and stooping. Occasional sitting, talking/hearing. The use of hands/fingers are often needed.
  • Continuous lifting and carrying of 1-20 lbs.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of 21-50 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of 51-100 lbs. with the assistance of a buddy-lift or a mechanical device.
Vision requirements for driving equipment and company vehicles include:
  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
  • Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more).
  • Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point).
  • Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships).
