About you
To be successful, you will need:
- 3+ years of experience in a law firm (within wills & estates)
- In-depth knowledge of wills and estates law and procedures
- Strong ethics, integrity, and ability to work independently or as a team
- Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills
- To be a member of the Ontario Bar in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
About the role
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for:
- Drafting of wills, power of attorney and trusts, estate administration, probate of wills, estate litigation, and all other matters as required
- Providing legal advice on estate planning strategies for asset protection and distribution
- Recommending updates to estate planning documents based on changes in circumstances or laws
- Educating clients about legal processes and implications of their estate planning choices
- Maintaining client confidentiality and handling sensitive information with care
