Environmental Project Manager
Hybrid, Full Time
Location: (Hybrid – 1-2 days in office per week) – Guelph
Hours: Mon-Fri – 8:30am-5pm - (37.5 hours/wk.)
Salary: Up to $100K + Bonus

Job Summary:
You will be responsible for the overall project planning, implementation, and execution of municipal & industrial projects from initiation to final closure as assigned.
Duties:
• Managing projects through planning and delivery; from creating and managing project plans, managing timelines and budget, flawless implementation, and supporting the debrief ensuring ongoing innovation and improvement.
• Reviews specifications for major equipment. Responsible for review of system design (P&ID/BOM) and managing customer submittal deadlines and approvals.
• Administers information in ERP system with respect to the bill-of-material & purchase requisitions and financial tracking of open projects throughout the life cycle.
• Facilitates communication internally and externally with all stakeholders as appropriate.
• Liaises with engineering, purchasing & outside personnel to ensure that design & delivery performance meets master schedule milestones.
• Liaises with customers regarding site delivery timing & concerns; involves appropriate engineering & purchasing personnel as necessary to meet goals and objectives.
• Reviews cost performance during the project to identify causal(s) of underperformance and ways to facilitate improvement to cost targets.
• Identifies opportunities for change orders and manages once implemented.
• Ability to solve complex problems that arise with a creative and team-oriented approach.
• Responsible for coordinating on-site and remote aid during the installation process.
• Communicates with Service to schedule start-up, commissioning & performance testing per the master project schedule.
• Ability to assist, lead field work as required.
• Works to achieve a clean hand-off for Service Group to take over for start-up and warranty activities.
Qualifications:
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills required (verbal and written).
• Requires a university/college degree or equivalent in mechanical, electrical or environmental, chemical engineering discipline.
• Experience with mechanical/electrical equipment dealing with fans, motors, sensors, pumps, blowers, water circulation systems and control instrumentation.
• PMP and/or P.Eng designation.
• 5 years of related hands-on field work experience in Project Management (Construction).
• Mechanically inclined with ability to interpret, analyze, understand and implement information from technical drawings and literature.
• Willingness to travel 1-5 days a month (across North America), as required).
• Valid driver's license.
• Valid passport.
