Location: Oakville
Start Date: As soon as possible
Length of term: 6 months with possibility of prolongation
Work mode: Hybrid (in-office presence on Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
We are searching for a Functional Lead (or Business Analyst) with experience in process mapping, workshops and business processes and their interconnections.
Principal Responsibilities
- Organize and facilitate workshops with cross functional operational stakeholders to brainstorm and document the business continuity solutions.
- Perform process mapping as needed.
- Perform data analysis as needed. Work with data team personnel to secure needed data files.
- Perform gap analysis; document options for resolution and escalate as needed for decisions.
- Capture requirements for vital business continuity documents, secure the documents, and structure the document repository to meet requirements for internal controls.
- Prepare presentations and checklists. Prepare PowerPoint slides as needed.
- Prepare change management communications
- Prepare for and support business continuity simulation testing.
- Provide input to the writing of the business continuity “playbook.”
- Identify and capture training needs and support training.
Requirements and qualifications
- Strong understanding of operational interdependencies between departmental processes as it pertains to a manufacturing business (Production, Supply Chain Planning, Logistics Execution, Order Management, and Purchasing, Accounts Payable and Receivable).
- Understands project management (milestones and deliverables).
- Solid organization skills and takes initiatives (thinks out of the box).
- Experience in presenting and communicating with the Business.
- Experience in Supply Chain (Planning, execution), Manufacturing (goods receipts), Purchasing, Customer Service and very important, Inventory (flow and data)
- Understanding of data requirements and interdependencies for operational management.
- Understands data flows between business systems.
- Adept use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and facilitating meetings in person and via MS Teams.
- Experience with MS Visio and PowerBI development is preferred.
- Experience in process mapping, workshops and business processes and their interconnections.
- Able to do requirement analysis from a functional perspective.
- Previous business analyst experience, preferably within ERP implementations.
- Effective communication, interpersonal skills, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to identify gaps, assess the risk, problem solve, develop practical solutions, and use good judgment.
- Demonstrated project experience; demonstrated ability to work within a structured plan, prioritize, and execute established timelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, or a related field;
- Certifications in project management (PMP, PMP-BA, or business continuity certification).
Nice to have : SAP, Business Continuity Planning (BCP)
