Salary range - $75-85K based on experience
Shifts - Will rotate days (5 am - 2 pm) and nights (8 pm - 5 am) with the other Production Supervisor (Rotation happens every 1-2 months to make it easier)
Will train on midnights first with the other production supervisor then come to days to train before they start rotating.

Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a Production Supervisor for their Plymouth, MI facility. This role reports directly to the Plant Manager and is responsible for overseeing production operations across multiple departments, ensuring compliance with Mill, Shipping, Slitter, and Quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and provide technical support to Mill, Shipping, Slitter, and Quality departments.
* Ensure all employees are properly trained on job functions, including safety features and use of machinery, tools, and equipment.
* Review daily production reports for compliance, identifying and addressing operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues.
* Prepare reports and deliver updates to senior management.
* Enforce workplace safety practices in accordance with company policies and MIOSHA regulations.
* Troubleshoot operational issues and improve efficiency across departments.
* Foster a positive, team-oriented environment.
* Objectively evaluate employee performance and manage disciplinary actions in coordination with plant management and HR.
* Respond to workplace injuries, ensuring immediate medical attention and reporting through Incident Management Software.
* Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
* Post-Secondary Education, Technical Diploma, GED, or High School Diploma required.
* Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience, with 5+ years in the manufacturing industry.
* Strong computer skills for reporting purposes.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work rotating shifts (1st and 3rd shifts alternating every 4 weeks).
* Leadership in promoting health and safety practices as required by regulatory agencies.
Physical Requirements:
* Must be able to move objects and use lower back muscles for support.
* Constant movement, requiring good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
* Ability to stand for 10-12 hours and remain stationary as needed.
* Must be able to lift 60 lbs and perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, and stooping.
* Must work in a manufacturing/plant environment.
