Trauma Surgery Advanced Practitioner Locums Job in Northern California

Description/Requirements for Assignment :
-NCCPA or ANCC Certified required
-California active license required (NPs must have CA NP furnishing number); Completion of CA CSEC (California Controlled Substance Education Course (PA's Only)
-California DEA, ACLS, ATLS required during credentialing
-Availability at time of name clear required
-Clean Malpractice/Background - highly preferred
-Must be actively working at a TJC-accredited hospital - required
-Setting: Level II Trauma Center
-EMR: Cerner Care B
-Support Staff: There will be one other Trauma NP/PA who works day shift (7a-5p)
-PM shift (3 p.m. to 1 a.m.)

Duties:
Required Procedures: Low/moderate risk procedures such as laceration repair, IV access/IV insertion-peripheral line, fracture and dislocation reductions (minimal/moderate displacement). High risk procedures: G-tube placement, endotracheal intubation, cardioversion/defibrillation, LMA, paracentesis, chest tubes, central and arterial line placement.
