The UC Davis School of Medicine, Department of Radiology is currently seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Cardiothoracic Imaging faculty member in the Professor of Clinical "X" Series or Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series, at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor rank (commensurate with experience and credentials).
Faculty in the Clinical X series is expected to engage in professional competence and activity, teaching, research and creative work, and University/public service.
Faculty in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series are expected to engage in teaching, professional competence and activity, scholarly or creative activities, and University/public service.
At the time of applying, candidates must possess an M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree and be licensed or be eligible for full licensure in the State of California. At the time of start, the candidate will need to be fellowship trained in Cardiothoracic Imaging and be board-certified or board-eligible in Diagnostic Radiology. It is preferred that they have a documented interest in research and teaching with excellent track record in scholarly activities as well as expertise and interest in different aspects of cardiovascular and chest imaging.
The candidates will be involved in cardiothoracic imaging studies including chest radiography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging. The candidates will be expected to participate in multidisciplinary meetings with cardio-pulmonary medicine, infectious disease, and pediatric cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery. Participation in weekend calls in rotation with other cardiothoracic division members is expected. The department has state of- the- art equipment including clinical 3T and 1.5T MRI scanners and the EXPLORER Total Body PET Scanner, the first scanner of its kind in the United States, designed to be the world's highest sensitivity PET scanner.
