POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in the development, implementation, evaluation and coordination of all aspects of point-of-care testing performed by non-laboratory staff, and regulatory compliance in the Clinical laboratories. Maintains, monitors and supports the achievement of effective quality programs to guarantee a safe and efficacious quality laboratory testing utilizing good laboratory practices and good manufacturing practices.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in medical technology or an appropriate biological medical science is required. May substitute a Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical laboratory testing. Must have successfully completed a structured clinical program (CAHEA approved). Minimum of two years experience in Laboratory testing is required. Experience with advanced computer skills required (Access, Excel and other spreadsheet and Microsoft applications).
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or National Certification Agency (NCA) or equivalent is required.
