Job Description
Select Chemistry’s Field Service Specialist will provide chemical and mechanical solutions to saltwater disposal systems and recycling facilities, among other duties.
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to
- Following all safety procedures and using proper PPE as required per specific job task.
- The primary duty is to provide technical support for our business.
- Requires travel to locations to sample water/oil/solids and perform field and lab analyses, which includes, but is not limited to:
- Complete Water Analysis, Millipore Filter analysis, Total Oil & Grease, Bacterial enumeration, coupon insertion and extraction…
- Communicate with field and office personnel regarding any changes, challenges, or upcoming projects for all locations.
- Communicate with Technical Manager regularly for assistance with the programs.
- Obtain chemical inventories from field operator or telemetry (where applicable) and enter them into the Excel spreadsheet to calculate usage and plan timely deliveries where needed.
- Create chemical orders and route them to necessary personnel via Outlook.
- Follow up on orders/deliveries to ensure accuracy.
- Monthly and Quarterly program reviews.
- Requires analytical data interpretation and presentation.
- Setting up new chemical injection systems.
- Servicing chemical pumps and setting/adjusting rates.

- Possess outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Apps (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
- Must be detail oriented due to the necessity of safety.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communications skills.
- 3-4 years of oil & gas experience.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal).
- Able to identify dangerous conditions and act accordingly.

Physical Demands and Exposures
- Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is expected.
