POSITION SUMMARY

The Shipping Coordinator plays an important role in the organization by performing a number of tasks related to the company's Secondary Marketing functions. The role is responsible, under general to intermittent supervision, for performing activities that help ensure the timely shipment of service-released loan files and other supporting documents, which may include requesting information, monitoring the status of warehouse suspense items, inputting relevant system data, providing assistance with monthly reporting and analysis, and other similar activities.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Monitor notes related to warehouse bank shipments and request additional information when necessary.
  • Execute and follow up on warehouse suspense items.
  • Input information into electronic I-5 system related to wire returns; communicate applicable correction information to warehouse banks when rewires are necessary.
  • Provide back up in the absence of Shipping Specialists and Shipping Assistants.
  • Follow up/Tract declined loans.
  • Assist Department Manager with monthly MERS exception reporting and analysis.
  • Provide recommendations for changes to procedures and practices that will improve department efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide assistance with special projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required
  • Minimum three years experience in administrative or secondary mortgage marketing related role(s).
  • Prior experience in loan funding, loan shipping, or similar field strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities; strong detail orientation and highly organized.
  • Works with a strong sense of urgency and responsiveness.
  • Passionate about delivering excellence in customer service.
  • Demonstrated patience and professionalism when interacting with both internal and external customers.
  • Intermediate math skills.
