Summary:

The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for the full development and deployment process of learning & development programs to enhance the talent and productivity of the organization. This position assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive learning initiatives and identifies and coordinates suitable training solutions for employees. This position actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate, enhance and recognize performance.


Core Functions:

  • Develops L&D strategy, programs, and objectives.
  • Conducts annual training and development needs assessment.
  • Manages budget and monitors spending against the departmental budgets.
  • Obtains and /or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.
  • Manages LMS to provide resources to all learners and managers on planning, delivering, and tracking education.
  • Design, develop and maintain high quality, innovative learning content and workshops.
  • Trains and coaches’ managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts (including IDPs) and performance management.
  • Plans, organizes, facilitates and orders supplies for employee development and training events (in collaboration with the sites).
  • Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.

Education & Experience:

Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of related work experience in L&D, Training and Project Management
  • Expertise in all aspects of adult learning process.
  • Instructional design skills utilizing adult learning principles and creative content design techniques.

Preferred:

  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential preferred.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.


Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Work is performed in an office environment. This role will routinely utilize standard office equipment to perform the core functions listed in this job description. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies as well as communicate verbally and electronically.
