Overview: Our Nashville-based team covers multiple sub-sectors in the healthcare services/provider space, including Acute Care Hospitals, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Behavioral Health, Dental Clinics, Diagnostic Labs, Diagnostic Imaging, Drug Distribution, Durable Medical Equipment Distribution, Nurse Staffing, Optometry Clinics, Physical Therapy, Personal Care Services, Physician Staffing, Post-Acute Care (home nursing, inpatient rehab), Retail Pharmacies, Specialty Pharmacies and Home Infusion, and Senior Housing.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Working underneath publishing analysts to cover healthcare services sub-sectors.
  • Building and maintaining “3-statement” financial models and industry-oriented databases
  • Conducting proprietary research, evaluating the competitive landscape, analyzing industry news and company filings, attending presentations, and speaking with key opinion leaders
  • Closely monitoring healthcare industry news and trends
  • Writing research reports for initiations of coverage, analysis of data, and industry/company news
  • Conceiving and executing on differentiated project ideas
  • Interfacing with company management teams, internal sales/trading personnel, and institutional investors
  • Maintaining relationships with industry contacts
  • Executing corporate access events, including company non-deal roadshows, conferences, summits, and expert interactions (some travel may be required…eventually)


We are looking for an experienced candidate who has a passion for stocks and/or the healthcare industry, financial modeling experience, advanced Excel skills, and strong written and oral communication skills. The candidate should be a fast learner, a self-starter, a multi-tasker, and able to learn and work independently with limited direction. Yet, this candidate also should be a proactive collaborator, team player, client-focused, and effective at managing upward.


This person should like to take on significant responsibility and be able to balance multiple overlapping projects and priorities. With demonstrated competence and interest in upward career progression, Associates on our team can be awarded the opportunity for increasing responsibility, including the possibility of gaining research coverage over time. Associates on our team should expect to enjoy interesting projects, autonomy in modeling and writing, high levels of consistent exposure to sales and institutional investor clients, as well as top management at healthcare companies. The team’s weekly schedule is dependent on particular assignments and quarterly reporting periods, but generally ranges around 60-70 hours per week.


Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $100,000 - $120,000.
