Summary:
The ideal candidate will be constantly assessing the systems in place to ensure that they are both safe and operating efficiently. This candidate will be comfortable managing a team and conducting analysis in order to highlight areas for improvement. This candidate should also be comfortable ensuring necessary utilities are working correctly and possess strong organizational skills in order to keep track of multiple projects at once.
Key Responsibilities:
Manages the Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance employees and provides support to the operation of processes. Responsible for the maintenance of plant equipment and systems such as material handling, crushing, screening, pneumatic, hydraulic, and pumping systems.
Key Job Duties:
- Supervises maintenance workers performing both electrical and mechanical work necessary to maintain, repair, or replace machinery and equipment.
- Assists workers in troubleshooting equipment failures.
- Plans, directs and coordinates plant maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance, to ensure the continuous production of acetylene and hydrate.
- Coordinates scheduled equipment maintenance with Production to avoid unnecessary downtime and disruptions.
- Writes and reviews department procedures (SOPs).
- Enforces Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and ensures that record keeping is properly maintained.
- Follows all safety requirements; strives to maintain a safe work environment.
- Responds to grievances and other employee problems in a fair and consistent manner.
Key Requirements:
- Two-year degree in a related field.
- 5+ years of related manufacturing maintenance supervision.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Electrical Maintenance is required, and working knowledge of PLC programming required, Allen Bradley preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Provide direction, develop teams, inspire others, and encourage collaboration with internal and external partners.
