As a Senior Tax Analyst, your essential job functions will include the following:
- Assist with coordinating the income tax return preparation process with third-party service providers.
- Prepare and provide supporting documentation needed to complete income tax returns.
- Ensure tax support is reconciled to financial data used in the preparation of the external financial statements; own and understand book to tax differences.
- Participate in review of all tax returns for completeness and accuracy prior to filing.
- Develop and implement tax compliance processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy in tax filings.
- Collaborate with the Tax Senior Manager to assure accurate tax accounting is reflected in the Company’s financial statements in accordance with ASC 740.
- Assist with the preparation of the tax provision, including the deferred tax asset/liability and valuation allowances, if any.
- Prepare tax-related footnote disclosures for the annual external financial statements.
- Reconcile all tax accounts monthly.
- Support and help coordinate audits of federal, state, and certain indirect tax filings and notices.
- Maintain the company’s tax compliance calendars, ensuring all deadlines are met and filings are completed accurately and on time.
- Assist with providing training and development of less experienced team members.
- Assist with property tax filings, sales & use tax returns, Tax Fixed Asset management, and other tax filings, as needed.
- Assist with the research and analysis of new or revised tax laws and regulatory pronouncements and the potential impact on the Company.
- Collaborate with department management and/or third-party consultants to evaluate and execute tax strategies associated with corporate transactions, as needed.
- Act as an internal consultant, providing tax guidance to the accounting department, payroll, as well as other functional areas.
- Create and maintain documentation for tax accounting practices and procedures, identify appropriate internal controls, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with Accounting and/or Business Intelligence team members to create or assist in the development of reports to analyze taxes.

Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred.
- 3-6 years of corporate income tax experience or equivalent public accounting experience required.
- Federal and state experience preferred; exposure to international tax is helpful.
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley required.
- Knowledge of CCH AnswerConnect or other tax research service, OneSource Provision and OneSource Compliance tools preferred.
- Experience using JDE (JD Edwards) or other major ERP systems required.
- Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills required.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Strong project coordination skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
