Amotec is actively seeking candidates for a Strategic Buyer opportunity. Our client is a global CPG industry leader located in the Greenville, NC area. This is a hybrid position requiring two days in office and three days working from home. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Buyer will be responsible for sourcing indirect purchases and raw materials for the North America manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with internal departments to ensure purchases are fully vetted to receive the best products/services at the most competitive price
• Identify cost savings opportunities to decrease company costs
• Continuously improve supplier relationships and cultivate cross-functional partnerships
• Define, measure and track categories for spending to analyze actual spend against budgets

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
• 2+ years of previous purchasing and procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must be able to switch between strategic and detail-oriented thinking
• Ability to travel when needed to meet with suppliers
