A family-owned manufacturing company in GR is looking for a strong leader to oversee all operations. This position will have 3 direct reports from the purchasing, scheduling, and logistics teams.
MUST HAVE Requirements:
- 10+ years of supply chain experience
- Manufacturing experience
- Someone with some "grit" and thrives in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the entire supply chain operations from raw material procurement to product delivery.
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategic plans to improve productivity, efficiency, and costs.
- Lead negotiations with external vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Review supply chain performance against targets, benchmarks and service agreements.
- Forecast demand for products to meet business objectives and client demand.
- Implement new technologies to enhance supply chain processes.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to implement supply chain improvements and new projects.
- Monitor national and international trends and events to anticipate supply chain impacts.
- Manage and mentor a team of supply chain professionals to ensure high performance.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety guidelines, and legislation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field. MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior supply chain management role in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of all aspects of supply chain processes.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation and organizational skills.
- Proficient in supply chain management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive with the ability to foresee potential issues and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
