Skilled Drafter/Designer needed for immediate opportunity in the Hartford, CT area for long term contract position with high opportunity for direct conversion! Our client is seeking a skilled CAD MicroStation user with a background and passion for civil design, specifically water drainage and treatment systems. The right person will have experience using the 'Open Roads' module of MicroStation, with the capacity to learn and grow with an awesome organization!
Must have a minimum of an associates degree in civil engineering, proven communication skills along with a natural engineering curiosity with a desire to grow professionally!

Responsibilities:
- Use MicroStation/ Open Roads module to create design drawings and specifications.
- Develop and manage 3D models, alignments, profiles, and cross-sections.
- Implement Storm Flow modules for drainage system analysis.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers on project requirements.
- Prepare documentation, including reports and project summaries.
- Review and modify designs based on feedback.
- Conduct quality control checks on drawings and models.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
- Experience with MicroStation and Open Roads; Storm Flow.
- Proven understanding of civil engineering principles.
- Attention to detail and high-quality work.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Familiarity with additional design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Experience in transportation and drainage design.
- Knowledge of engineering standards and regulations.
