LEAD DATA SCIENTIST - Marketing Analytics

$200,000 - $215,000 BASE + BONUS & EQUITY

THE ROLE:
This role will utilize predictive modeling and strategic business mindset to move the company from a description data-driven organization to a forward-thinking organization. As Lead Data Scientist, you'll take on a strategic & execution-focused role alongside the leadership team, working hand in hand with the VP of Data, AI, & ML. You can expect to be doing the following:
- Lead end-to-end predictive modeling using Python, including building models, deploying them into production, and generating insights related to supply and demand, channel marketing effectiveness, lifetime value (LTV), and more.
- Hands-on data work including ETL processes, building Tableau dashboards to monitor KPIs, and experimenting with Jupyter Notebooks for in-depth analysis.
- Drive marketing initiatives by leveraging channel analytics, defining retention strategies, and applying segmentation techniques to optimize metrics such as CAC, LTV, and retention.
- Strengthen a forward-thinking data organization by utilizing existing infrastructure and expanding upon it to drive revenue and business growth.
- Align data-driven outcomes with business goals, identifying opportunities for optimization and increased efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally, managing projects and working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure data initiatives align with broader business objectives.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Strong proficiency in Python & A visualization tool (Tableau, Powerbi, Looker, etc)
- 5+ YOE in in Data Science, Marketing Analytics, or Advanced/Statistical Modeling
- Bachelor's degree (technical or STEM)
- Experience working with a modern data stack (ex: Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, airflow, etc)
- Exposure to cloud tools (GCP, AWS, Azure, etc)
- Ability to build, deploy, and manage data models in production environments
- Consumer-facing experience or background in consumer-driven industry
- Marketing Analytics Experience - ie channel performance, customer segmentation, CAC, LTV, retention
- Proven experience working autonomously and spearheading projects with minimal oversight
