Allegrone is looking for a motivated and experienced Interior Designer to become an integral part of our design team within a fast-growing Design-Build firm.
As Interior Designer, you will oversee the design and decorative process for all interior spaces from start to finish. From homeowners to corporations, we serve a wide variety of clients, presenting us with new challenges and opportunities every day.
Responsibilities
- Participates in the conceptual design and provides full support through the entire project.
- Liaises with the project managers, architects, and/or consultants as required.
- Develops and represents lead technical viewpoint on projects including areas specific to interior environments, interior architecture, and product and material specifications.
- Coordinates with the director and department head on appropriate technical solutions and product strategies along with working directly alongside each project’s lead designer or architect to facilitate project success specific to the project’s interiors scope.
- Assists project team and clients with selections and specifications of fixtures, furniture, and equipment based on project-specific requirements.
Qualifications
- Professional degree in interior design, plus a minimum 6 years of experience as an interior design professional.
- NCIDQ Certification
- Must be able to work both collaboratively as a team alongside other designers, architects, and support staff as well as independently when required to facilitate smaller projects.
- Extensive experience in interior architecture drafting including floor plan development, interior elevations, finish plans and schedules, mood boards, and schematic level renderings.
- Extensive knowledge in performance criteria of interior products and material specifications.
- Must understand how to interpret and manipulate project specifications as required.
Software skills:
- Proficiency in Autodesk software’s including Revit Architecture is an absolute prerequisite – candidates who do not have at least 3 years experience utilizing the software will not be considered.
- Experience with 2020 Kitchen Design (proficiency preferred, but not required).
- Must be familiar with Microsoft 365 environment and Adobe software’s including Photoshop. Proficiency in these software’s is preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency with navigating Autodesk Construction Cloud and/or BIM 360 is preferred, but not required.
