Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer to join our growing Process team in Mississauga, Ontario.
The tasks you'll perform
- Prepare process deliverables including, but not limited to: mass balances, flowsheets, P&IDs, design criteria, operating costs and control philosophy of Lithium projects
- Supervise metallurgical test work programmes and interpret metallurgical test work data for Lithium Projects
- Evaluate tenders and provide technical recommendations for the purchase of process equipment from vendors where necessary during studies and design.
- Ensure all relevant stakeholders are notified immediately of any risk or changes to process deliverables.
- Maintain an understanding of the latest process developments in the Industry.
- Register and file all relevant project documentation in accordance to the Company approved procedures.
- Work in conjunction with a range of internal and external stakeholders to meet project design criteria and deliverables.
- Contribute to the development of junior process engineers by providing mentoring and feedback on a continuous basis.
- Manage multiple tasks and prioritise where necessary to achieve agreed deliverables to a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
- Assist with the development of proposals for test work, studies and detailed engineering.
- Assist with commissioning activities, if and when required.
- Proactively support other team members as required to ensure Project deliverables are met.
- Travel on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and its operations.
The expertise you'll bring
- University Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years post graduate experience in Lithium processing
