Key Responsibilities
We're seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining accurate patient records, including demographic information, medical history, and test results.
- Preparing examination rooms, applying and instructing patients on splints and dressings, and using electronic medical records (EMRs) to order testing and prescriptions.
- Assisting with basic examinations, such as vital sign checks, height and weight measurements, and blood pressure monitoring.
- Ensuring all equipment is properly sterilized and maintained, adhering to strict infection control guidelines.
You'll also be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean working environment, adhering to OSHA standards and HIPAA regulations.
Requirements & Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you'll need:
- A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification or equivalent.
- At least 2+ years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in orthopedics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- CPR certification and ability to travel to multiple offices.
