Riley Children's Health has an excellent opportunity to join the premier pediatric Hospital Medicine program in the state of Indiana. Our patient population draws throughout the state, encompassing diverse backgrounds and cultures at multiple sites within our large health system. The pediatric hospitalist care team sees patients at Riley Hospital in downtown Indianapolis, our quaternary care center, and community hospitals IU North Hospital in Carmel, IU West Hospital in Avon, and IU Southern Indiana Hospital in Bloomington. The next IU Health facility to add Riley Children's pediatric hospital medicine service is IU Saxony Hospital located in the northeast suburb of Indianapolis, in Fishers, IN.

Our faculty and leadership is dedicated to far-reaching impacts on patient care, advancement in the field of medicine, and collaboration with local and national partners to further advance the field of Pediatric Hospital Medicine.

This position offers:

  • Broad patient care experience across a variety of care models and serving a diverse patient population.
  • Inpatient coverage for multiple specialties, some newborn care, Level II NICU coverage, and attending high-risk deliveries.
  • Procedures include (but not limited to): lumbar puncture, possible circumcision

  • 12 hour shift equivalent; may be split between days and nights, 154 shift equivalent per year; Holidays and weekends are evenly distributed among all faculty; Opportunity for additional moonlighting

Qualifications

  • Completion of ABMS pediatric residency; preferred PHM fellowship, but not required.
  • BE/BC in general pediatrics
  • Physician MD/DO licensed in Indiana, or eligible for medical licensure.
