The Hillsboro Club, an exclusive oceanfront private residence club in South Florida, is seeking an experienced Bellman to support the operations of the Front Desk Department at our gorgeous property. This position will be responsible for escorting members and guests, carrying members' and guests' personal belongings, as well as assisting with the registration process. We are looking for someone who is respectful, friendly, reliable and is passionate about working in hospitality.
The Club operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week.
This is a seasonal part-time position with hourly competitive compensation, paid biweekly. The Hillsboro Club also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
General Requirements:
- Greet all guests with a warm and friendly demeanor upon arrival.
- Assists incoming and departing members and guests with luggage and other personal items.
- Greet and escorts incoming members and guests to front desk, guestroom or other facilities.
- Escorts departing members and guests to automobiles, taxis and other forms of transportation.
- Assists physically challenged members and guests with special needs.
- Ensures that guest room is fully prepared for members and guests.
- Provides information to members and guests regarding operations of room features and transportation.
- Maintains file of information about local attractions and events; provides information to members and guests upon request.
- Calls for taxis and other transportation.
- Supervises valet service employees.
- Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Front Desk Manager
Education and Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds
