Job Title: Warehouse Specialist
Salary Range: $20.94 / hourly; plus, bonus eligibility
Summary: Perform the warehouse duties that facilitate inventory controls and material handling procedures from inbound receipt through replenishment and supply to the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities:
•Receive and put away inbound inventory shipments. Ensure delivery trucks are locked into the dock locks for safety. Ensure drivers follow dock safety protocols.
•Verify carton / pallet counts and sign delivery documents. Operate a sit-down forklift or pallet jack to unload trucks and containers.
•Breakdown and sort shipments by SKU and PO. Assemble stable pallet loads for In-Rack storage. Operate a swing reach lift from hi bay locations to complete the put away process using a computerized RF scanning device.
•Operate an order picker from hi bay locations to pull pallets, cases or pieces throughout the order fulfillment process.
•Deliver parts to the various drop zones. Use a computerized RF scanning device. Apply appropriate labels as needed.
•Operate an order picker or a swing reach to pull case and pallet loads for replenishment to the active and dynamic picking zones.
•Execute the required replenishment transactions using a computerized RF scanning device.
•Maintain the utilization of storage space requirements that support appropriate supply levels into the manufacturing process.
•Perform daily cycle counts as required. Assist the effort to research and resolve any discrepancies.
•Support the strategic inventory slotting and consolidation efforts that achieve optimized picking operations throughout the product life cycle.
•Ensure the accuracy of the inventory and report all exceptions and related concerns to a lead, supervisor or manager.
•Obtain and maintain a valid lift truck certification. Know and follow all related safety protocols including inspections.
•Operate all lift trucks and automated pallet wrapper. Operate basic material handling equipment including pallet jacks, RF scanners, dock locks, load levelers, manual pallet wrappers, material handling carts and racks, tape guns and safety cutting tools.
•Maintain a clean and organized warehouse. Support other tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Minimum of 1-year general warehouse experience is required. Previous RF scanning and computer literacy are required. Previous experience as a forklift operator is preferred, but not required. Experience / certification with inventory control is a plus.
•Must wear steel toe safety shoes and PPE as required.
•Standing and walking up to 100% of the work shift. Operate a lift truck from elevated heights up to 20 feet. Capable to lift up to 50 lbs.
•Working environment is consistent with a typical warehouse climate. Frequent lifting, grasping and pushing. Occasional use of a rolling platform ladder.
•Generally available to work overtime, including Saturdays. No written warnings in the last 12 months. Minimum of 3 months from last awarded job bid.
•Strong mathematical aptitude. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of warehouse zones, weights, dimensions and cycle counting practices. Teamwork oriented, dependable and organized. Adaptable and flexible to changing situations under pressure.
