Job Description SUMMARY We are searching for a meticulous inventory controller to manage the inventory for our company. In this role, you will be required to perform regular inventory audits, transactions, and analyses, to ensure consistent stock levels. To ensure success as an inventory controller, you should be highly organized and have knowledge of supply chain management software and practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- 1st Responsibility - Ensuring personal safety.
- Wear appropriate PPE which may include respiratory protection, hearing protection, foot, hand, head, and eye protection.
- Proactively promotes The McWane Way principles.
DEPARTMENT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Monitoring inventory levels and replenishing stock as needed.
- Analyzing and reviewing supply chain data to identify and resolve issues.
- Performing regular stock checks and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
- Maintaining and updating inventory records.
- Investigates and corrects inventory variances
- Coordinate with Planning/Production to maintain accurate productions schedules
- Work with cross functional teams to execute yearly physical inventory
- Perform regular audits to ensure inventory integrity and compliance with company policies.
- Investigate (root cause) and resolve inventory discrepancies and errors.
- Obsolete inventory coordination with cross functional team.
- Investigate day to day issues in the plant pertaining to inventory accuracy and movement
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies regarding inventory storage and handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory area to prevent accidents and damage.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
- Minimum 2 years of related work experience in Inventory Control in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of Material/Logistics/Manufacturing processes and material flow.
- Any major ERP/MRP experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Sound decision making and strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate others to accomplish goals.
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and flexibility.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Microsoft Office Applications (Excel/Outlook) experience preferred.
