Overview of the Role- Grant Accountant
- Assist in preparation of annual budgets for programs in conjunction with program management
- Reconciliation of various grants including regular billings and reconciliation of general ledger
- Prepare new budget proposals, monthly budget to actual analysis and the monthly billing report
- Prepare and submit budget modification requests as needed monitoring variances of expenditure over budget and advising program directors to monitor spending to the budget
- Prepare program financial statements as required by either funding source or program management
- Record general ledger entries (salaries, revenue, bank reconciliation)
- Preparation of the year end reports for the annual audit
- Assist in preparation of salary detail and other schedules for CFR and SSOP reports along with the preparation of supporting schedules for Uniform Guidance report
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications - Grant Accountant
- Degree in Accounting or similar major
- Experience working in a not for profit role with contract billing is a plus
- Experience with HHS Accelerator , CFR, SSOP or Great Plains Dynamic is helpful but not essential
