Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
- Analyze market trends and pricing to optimize purchasing decisions.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers to forecast material needs and budget considerations.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely deliveries to job sites.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases and supplier performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the construction or multifamily development industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and a keen understanding of procurement processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
