Location: Thousand Oaks, CA
Hours: Part-time (25-40 hours per week), flexible scheduling with afternoon, evening, or weekend availability preferred
Overview:
We are seeking a GMP Cleaning Technician to maintain and clean laboratory equipment and support areas, ensuring they are in a ready-to-operate state according to established procedures. This role plays a critical part in supporting the integrity and environmental control of a highly regulated facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform sanitary cleaning of lab equipment, including Biosafety Cabinets (BSCs), incubators, autoclaves, and more.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of restricted access labs.
- Prepare cleaning solutions and document all activities accurately in logbooks following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies, ensuring they are always available and up to date.
- Report any equipment or facility deficiencies to the Facilities team for remediation.
- Adhere to all regulatory and safety protocols, including cGMP standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience with cGMP practices preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures and safety policies.
- Comfortable working in a lab environment with hazardous materials (proper training and safety controls provided).
- Physically able to perform cleaning duties and wear protective equipment (gowning, gloves, goggles, respirators).
- Flexible schedule, with availability for afternoon, evening, or weekend shifts.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., and perform tasks involving standing, squatting, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Willingness to work with non-hazardous cleaning chemicals and in environments with biohazardous materials (safety controls in place).
